Oliver Pearman
was born
Kenilworth at the Moorlands Nursing Home, which is now St
Francis of Assisi church in Warwick Road. He went to Abbots-
ford school and then on to Warwick School.
Eventually he found himself in the carpet and furnishings
business via Woodwards, The Baileys, Lancaster House and BMV
carpet manufacturers.
He bought into West Mercia Carpets Ltd in October 1978 after
being the fitter there for four years. He met Vicki and they
married in 1982 and they share three sons, Andrew, Philip and
Steven.
The shop became Mercia Carpets in 1985 and now has staff of
five, promoting a successful family business. Adrian, as sales
manager, has been with them four and a half years, Mick, the
senior fitter, for three years, and Andrew, their son, also
shares the fitting. The business has grown tremendously over the
last 12 months and both Oliver and Vicki believe this can be
attributed to promoting a professional image of the firm,
